Current waiting times
Waiting lists to see a rheumatologist
At our practice, we do our very best to see patients as soon as possible. However, because of the large number of referrals we receive, we prioritize appointments based on medical urgency.
Conditions like rheumatoid and inflammatory arthritis and connective tissue diseases (such as lupus) often require earlier review, as timely treatment can make a significant difference.
We aim to see these higher-priority patients within weeks to a few months. Other referrals, including second opinions, may wait longer, but we recognise all patients’ care is important and appreciate your understanding.
Current availability:
• Dr Adrian Gibbs and Dr Fabiola Ojeda are accepting new patients.
• Dr Caoilfhionn Connolly is currently in leave until July 2026. Dr Ojeda is covering her patients and referrals.
• Dr Kavanagh is not currently accepting new patients or seeing patients who have not been under his care in the last 3 years.
If you are already on our waiting list, thank you for your patience and understanding. We do occasionally have cancellations. If you are available to come in at short notice and would like to be added to the cancellation list, please email reception@wrh.ie and we can add you to our cancellation list – we’ll do our best to fit you in.
